In March, the ice starts to break from the beach at Camp Arcadia.  Snow finally starts to melt around the town, and the trees in town are tapped for maple syrup.  These are surely signs of Spring, but Arcadia usually has until May before tree leaves open fully.  As far as swimming in Lake Michigan?.... well maybe in June.
