End-of-Season Staff
Have
you always wanted to work on staff, but cannot commit to a whole summer?
Interested in working hard in ministry to other Christians? People
from retirement age to high school join the ranks of our End-of-Season Staff
to make the Camp Arcadia vacation possible for so many people. Working
End-of-Season can be a very a rewarding experience. It's exhausting,
uplifting, fun, and challenging.

Dates
The end-of-season
period runs from August 16th through September 24th. Below are the
various retreats that will require End-of-Season staff. You make work
for a few weeks or just a weekend.
Family Week:
Dates: August 16 – 23
Arrival & Departure: Saturday by 2 P.M.
Pay: $150/week including room, board & tips.
Lutherhostel Week
(guests are older adults):
Dates:
August 23 – 29
Arrival & Departure: Saturday by 2 P.M.
Pay: $150/week including room, board & tips.
Labor Day Family
Weekend:
Dates: Friday,
August 29 – Monday, September 1
Arrival & Departure: Arrive on Friday afternoon by 2 P.M. and depart any time
after 3 P.M. Monday.
Pay: $125 plus room, board, & tips.
Men's Retreat:
Dates:

September 4 – Sunday, September 7
Arrival & Departure: Arrive
Thursday
afternoon and depart Sunday afternoon.
Pay: $125 plus room, board, and tips.
Women’s Retreat
Weekend I:
Dates: Friday, September 12 – Sunday, September 14
Arrival & Departure: Arrive in the
morning or early afternoon of Friday and depart around 3 P.M. on Sunday.
Pay: $100 plus room, board & tips.
Deacons' Retreat:
Dates: Monday, September 15 – Thursday, Sept. 18
Arrival & Departure: Arrive in the
morning or early afternoon of Monday and depart around 3 P.M. on Thursday.
Pay: $125 plus room, board & tips.
Women’s Retreat
Weekend II:
Dates: Friday, September 19 – Sunday, September 21
Arrival & Departure: Arrive in the
morning or early afternoon of Friday and depart around 3 P.M. on Sunday.
Pay: $100 plus room, board & tips.
Church Music
Symposium
Dates: Sunday, September 21 - Wednesday, Sept. 24
Arrival & Departure: Arrive in the
early afternoon of Sunday and depart around 3 P.M. on Sunday.
Pay: $125 plus room & board.
Housing
Staff are housed in the new staff quarters and the
renovated existing staff rooms all on the second story of the Wigwam
building. These rooms are set up to have between 2 to 6 roommates per room.
The rooms are equipped with single beds and bunk beds, hanging & dresser
space for each person, and sinks and mirrors. Down the hall are new
bathrooms/showers. How many people are in each room will be based on the
number and gender of our staff. Married couples will be housed
together.
Work Department
While most of our positions are in dining services
and housekeeping, and laundry, we also have a few positions available in
program leadership, maintenance, and office responsibilities. Please
indicate on the application where you would prefer to work.
The Work Schedule
Our typical dining services workday begins at 7:00
A.M. There are breaks for meals and a short morning break. Most days the
staff has a break in the afternoon from around 2:00 P.M. till 4:45 P.M.
They then work until around 8:00 P.M. with a break for dinner. The rest of
the evening is yours, except if you work that evening in the Trading Post
serving ice cream (you will usually work twice a week). Other staff members
work similar hours. It is a lot of work, but it is also a rewarding way to
serve God – and I hope a lot of fun too!
