Applying to Work on Summer Staff

To apply you can download the application packet below or contact Chip May, Director at (231) 889-4361 or email at chipmay@camp-arcadia.com and he will mail one to you. 

Here is our application process:

If you are a returning staff person ... Download the Returning Staff Application Packet.  This will include an Application, Returning Application Questions, Skill/Interest Overview, Job Descriptions, Employment Details.  Return the Application, Returning Application Questions and Skill/Interest Overview to camp.  Please answer the questions completely.  Your answers to these questions are used in the hiring process.  The application priority date is February 8.  We will still accept applications after this date, but positions could be limited.  Please contact Chip May if you plan to apply after the priority date.

If you are applying for the first time ...

1)  Download the application packet below. 

2)  Fill out the Application, Application Questions, and Skill/Interest Overview and return them to Camp Arcadia P.O. Box 229 Arcadia, MI 49613.
The application priority date is February 8.  We will still accept applications after this date, but positions could be limited.  Please contact Chip May if you plan to apply after the priority date.

3)  Have your three references fill out the Reference Form and return them to Camp Arcadia P.O. Box 229 Arcadia, MI 49613.  Do not use relatives, friends or minors. 

Make sure you have one reference from the following persons:

1. Former or current employer or supervisor

2. An adult who is at least 18 years old and who knows you personally.  This can be a professor, teacher, RA, co-worker.

3. Your pastor or youth director.

4)  Once your paperwork is received and reviewed we will set up an interview either in person or over the phone.

5)  After the interview, we usually wait about a week or two before contacting you concerning a position on our staff.  If we offer you a position we will issue you a contract at that time.
